Outdoor Japan Guide was founded by Amrita Nahar, a passionate Japan outdoor traveller, mountain enthusiast, and nature explorer with over 18 years of experience discovering Japan’s breathtaking landscapes. Throughout her adventures, she has explored some of the country’s most iconic destinations, including Mount Tanigawa, Mount Tsubakuro, Mount Kita, the legendary Yakushima Jōmon Sugi Trail, and countless other mountains, forests, national parks, and hidden scenic locations across Japan.
Having spent years travelling throughout the country and even living alongside native Japanese communities, Amrita has gained valuable first-hand knowledge of Japan’s outdoor culture, hiking routes, local traditions, seasonal conditions, travel safety, and lesser-known destinations that many visitors never experience.
